*Practicing Swimming. using some arm floaties*

*watching TV in the HUD, and has a drone flying over Rowan to act as a nany cam he's watching in the coner of his "screen"*

Dad look! I'm getting.. Better! the water can't take down a mighty warrior like me!!

You did it without the floaties, you can do it again, come on Rowan, take those things off.

But... It's easier... *he said. looking a bit disappointed and going to climb out of the water. taking them off. and kicking his feet at the water. feeling a little Discouraged*

*turns off his hud and bends down to his knees, grabbing his arms* Hey, listen, the easy way if great, when it's not imporant and you just want to get it done, but the best things, those don't come easy, skill, effort, determination, confidence, and courage are the most valuable tools any true warrior will possess. Now, do you want a truce with the water? Or do you want to show it, who tamed who?

I... Guess show it who tamed who?... but i don't think i.. "Swam" Last time... i just struggled and moved around until i figured out how to keep my head up... i almost drowned Dad... i don't want to Drown.... Maybe... You can show me how to swim the right way?....

Hey, you went in knowing nothing, and rather than let it take you, you fought, survived, and understood you wanted to be above the water.. That's learning... *kicks him in the ass back into the water, but then dives in after him splashing him teasingly* Sucker.... now come on... let's get started, *kinda hovers in the water* this isn't floating, it's how to stay afloat and steady... notice how my arms are spread for stability and my legs are barely kicking?

*Managing to re-orient himself a little and splashes about a little. coughing* Y-yeah? *He said. trying to copy what he's doing. but each time he feels like he's sinking he can't help but thrash his arms a little and kick his legs*

Try to relax, let the water hold you up. It's stronger than you are, that's the first lesson, use it's strength, make it your own.

*He took a deep breath and ndoded. trying to relax himself. and goes still. letting it hold him up now. his eyes shut tight before slowly opening them and realizing he was doing what he was doing*

There you go... see. the water will do what you ask of it. So long as you understand how to tell it what you want.

*he gives his dad the biggest smile he's ever managed* I-I'm doing it!! W-what next?

well, when you're ready to go somewhere, lean in the direction you want to go, then with your far arm, reach it over your head, and gently push the water out of the way and you'll start moving in that direction, then repeat with the other arm, gently, not quickly, kick with your legs to help you move through it, because the water will want to go back, so, when moving it, you must be respectful of the fact you're asking the water to get out of your way for a little while.

*Coming in and seeing them in the pool* Now what's going on here? *She asked. raising a brow. but with a curious smirk on her face* Having fun boys?

*He turns* Mom! Dad is showing me how to Swim!! Look i can Float now!

I'm sure she'd like a hug.. why don't you try asking the water to move so you can go over there and give her one?

*Now makes an attempt to follow Zarin's instructions. starting with his left arm and leaning forward. then the other arm. remembering to kick his legs. though seeming unable to get into a good rhythm at the moment.* I'll.. Give you a hug!.. Just.. Uh.. Is this the right speed?..

*She chuckles and sits on the dge of the pool to watch and wait*

opposite, when one arm moves, the opposite leg moves, then switch. Get your rhythm.

*he nods. and soon enough he had found the rhythm and began moving steadily closer to Zephyr's position* D-dad i'm doing it!!! Look!!

And turn your head to the arm that's higher, this will keep your head above water for breaths.

*Nodding and then doing so*

*Clapping* Way to go Son! You're learning fast... then again you have a great teacher too *She said. winking at Zarin*

*Gets there and quickly climbs up to give her a hug*

*Returning the hug and letting him sit on her lap* Atta boy!

*comes out shortly behind him* See... knew you could do it.

*Gets up and hugs his dad Tightly* Thank you Dad... You're the Best Warrior I Know *He said. looking up at him with pride and joy*

Well keep it up and you'll get there in notime.

Good sport, now, how about a couple laps while I talk to Zephyr here, alright?

Okay Daddy! *he said. before jumping back into the water with renewed confidence and repeating the previous steps*

Soo... how was you're girls day?

It was.. pleasant. surprisingly. Even when Tefra and Araavos got ice cream with the rest of us. It was fine. I'm still sad she's leaving though..

I wish she'd stay with us a little longer... Maybe even.. permanently?.. I guess we'll see what happens when she talks to them..

I guess so.

You don't think They're going to be too upset if she decides to stay with us do you? How do you feel about this situation?.. what if she decides to move back to her own room?

Frankly I don't care if he gets upset.... and as for this situation, i'm confused, jealous, hurt, part of me wants to let her go, part of me wishes she'd stay, part of me wishes it were more, part of me feels guilty for wanting to.... my heads a mess and I still have no clue where to start sorting it.

I understand that feeling but... no matter what. she's still our daughter. as long as she's happy. that's what matters... even if it means letting her go. she's... Grown up enough now to do what she thinks feels right.. *She took his hands in hers* I'm sure we can figure out how to do the same.. we'll always have eachother...

Well I know that... and you're right, but it doesn't make it less confusing and certainly doesn't make it easier.

*She hugs him gently* I know..

*Finally getting tired and coming out of the pool to catch his breath*
